Shades of grey

I love colours, all of them.
Wild freedom of layers, shifting, drifting in an empty field of space.
But what remains when colours fade, become grey?
Qualities like contrast, rhythm, composition, atmosphere, tranquility, remain.
And if all qualities disappear?
The underlying reality remains.
