"Hi, I am Paul. I can't draw or paint. That was my conviction inherited from a lifetime of teaching at primary and highschool where I was only told what to do. Then I met Debbie. I saw and listened to her instructions, explanations and demonstrations for the students in her art classes. I participated in some of her workshops. Debbie is that rare kind of teacher who doesn't only tell, explain and show, but is an endless fountain of inspiration. She brings out the best in me. My results of her teaching are shown here".
In our art-lessons I teach students ways to express their inner creativity on paper, hardboard and canvas.
While the art-students write, draw or paint, they often listen to Paul playing the piano. Somehow, between music-playing, photographing and coffee-making, Paul even manages to partake in the lessons as a student. He listens to the ideas and instructions and then draws and paints as if it comes natural to him. With confidence, originality and a lot of fun and humor!
